You laid so still and quiet
Deep in the heart of me
I carried you around everywhere
For all the world to see

And as the days grew shorter
I looked forward to being a mum
Never ever knowing
Of the heartbreaks to become

Then on the day that you were born
So quiet and so still
My world was turned right upside down
There was to be no thrill

The thrill of a new born baby
Was cruelly taken away
And I have missed you ever since
That awful fateful day.
